Owing to its oxidation capability, potassium permanganate [KMnO4] is used in potable water conditioning. Oxidising diluted in water Fe (II) to Fe (III), Mn (II) to Mn (IV) and organic compounds, it helps improve the taste and smell of water. It also has antibacetrial and antifungial properties.
The product is offered in 25 and 50 kg kegs.
